Australian pop duo The Veronicas gave us one of the catchiest songs of the 21st century with their smash hit “Untouched”, and they’re finally back for more. After a five-year-long break, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso are finally ready to drop their next studio album.

Back in March, the Veronicas shared their latest single, “Think of Me”, which serves as the perfect prelude for their new album. They’ve discussed what’s to come in a recent interview with Billboard and promised a mix of hip-hop and ‘80s pop with emo vibes.

“We’re doing a lot of collaborations for this one, which is something we haven’t done with previous albums. Getting into the studio with other artists and mixing their sounds with ours has been a huge part of this project,” said Jessica Origliasso.

They also reflected on their time spent apart, and how the hiatus provided them with enough time to live their lives and figure out what they want to do with their music once they go back to the studio.

“Since songwriting has always been such a huge part of our creative outlet, and our artistry, we really do take our time to get in the studio, get on the same page, and be able to create from that inspired space. We just get so much out of being the songwriters, and telling our stories,” Lisa Origliasso
explained.
