Linkin Park announced the release of their greatest hits album Papercuts, and they came up with a great way to tease this project. They dropped a music video for the previously unreleased song “Friendly Fire”, recorded with the late vocalist Chester Bennington.

Members of Linkin Park have been on a hiatus since Bennington’s tragic passing in 2017, and they’ve only shared several previously unreleased tracks after their split. “Friendly Fire” is the latest, and it was originally recorded during the One More Light sessions.

The music video for this track was directed by Mark Fiore and mostly consists of footage from studio sessions and live performances. Bennington is prominently featured in the video, and “Friendly Fire” is one of the last songs he recorded with Linkin Park.

This will be one of the tracks featured on Linkin Park’s upcoming greatest hits album Papercuts, set to hit the shelves on April 12. It will feature songs released between 2000 and 2023, and Mike Shinoda said it was a joy to curate the tracklist.

“Each song in this collection is both a singular moment on our timeline and an evolving story that is as much ours as it is yours. From our first release ‘One Step Closer’ to the brand-new ‘Friendly Fire’, this tracklist spans all our chapters so far,” said Shinoda in a statement.
