It’s been almost 15 years since The Black Crowes’ last album saw the light of day, and they’re finally gearing up for an epic comeback! The American rock band announced the release of their first album of new material since 2009, titled Happiness Bastards.

The Black Crowes are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and Chris and Rich Robinson found a perfect way to mark the occasion. They officially announced the release of Happiness Bastards, their first studio album in 15 years, set to be released on March 15, and promoted it with the new single “Wanting and Waiting”.

Chris Robinson described this album as their love letter to rock and roll. He said this album represents the harmony he and Rich found together, and his brother echoed his words.

“This album is a continuation of our story as a band. Our years of experience writing and making music and touring the world are represented in this record, and we were brilliantly guided by one of the best producers in the business, Jay Joyce,” said Rich Robinson in a press release.

This marks the band’s first studio album of new material since Before the Frost…Until the Freeze in 2009. They went on hiatus in 2015 and announced they’re reuniting in late 2019, after Chris and Rich Robinson managed to resolve their differences.
