Madonna’s The Celebration Tour landed in Toronto, Canada, last week, but it wasn’t without hiccups. The pop legend had a slip-of-tongue situation, saying, “Are you ready, Boston?” to kick off her show in Scotiabank Arena.

Madonna, who performed two nights in Boston before the Toronto concert, immediately recognized her mistake and corrected herself.

Later, during the show, Madonna addressed her mishap.

“Are you guys mad at me ’cause I said ‘Hello, Boston!’?” the “Vogue” singer said at one point. “That would be like if you guys were saying, ‘Hey, Lady Gaga’s playing tonight!’… I wouldn’t like that. I mean, you know, nothing against Lady Gaga. Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me.”

After two shows in Toronto, Madonna is also scheduled to perform two dates in Montreal. She then returns to the United States for a series of shows that include stops in New York City, Philadelphia, and Seattle.

Madonna officially announced The Celebration Tour in early 2023 with plans to perform 35 dates across the world as a way to celebrate 40 years of her career. Due to overwhelming demand, the tour saw multiple additional shows added in cities like London, New York City, and Inglewood. The tour is currently set to wrap up with a five-date run in Mexico City, Mexico, in April 2024.
