2019 is really shaping up to be Halsey’s year. She topped the charts with her hit single “Without Me”, hosted Saturday Night Live, received nominations for several major awards – and now she’s finally getting ready to drop a new album!

The follow up to her sophomore record Hopeless Fountain Kingdom should come out sometime this year. Halsey shared details about her new album in a series of tweets and made it sound like her most personal record to date.

“Writing this album has been a lesson in forgiving myself. In being proud of myself and kind to myself despite how much this world is designed to make you hate yourself. I hope when it’s finally in your hands it brings you that same peace. It’s not a quiet peace. It’s a loud one,” wrote Halsey.

The singer also thanked her fans for being patient with her, because she’s aware how anxious they are for new music. She didn’t share the release date of her upcoming studio effort, but assured everyone it will come out this year.
