AWOLNATION’s new album Angel Miners and the Lightning Riders is coming our way this year, and the band’s frontman, Aaron Bruno, said he sees is it as a rebirth and a new start after a series of personal hardships.

Bruno opened up about this record in a recent interview with Billboard and explained how the experience of having his home damaged by the wildfire that ripped through Malibu back in 2018 impacted his creative process. “It felt like a little bit of a rebirth of sorts, a restart. Before that, I felt like I was going through some different changes, and what happened gave me an opportunity to do that. So I approached (Angel Miners) as if it was my first record.”

The band’s fourth studio album will come out on April 24th, and it will feature previously released singles “The Best” and “California Halo Blue.” Their latest single “Mayday!!! Fiesta Fever” came out this week, and it features a special appearance from Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros.
