Dua Lipa gave us another catchy disco hit with her single “Don’t Start Now” but if you were hoping to hear a moving, stripped-down version of this song—Hayley Williams’ got you covered!

The Paramore singer recently stopped by the BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge to promote her solo material, but her new single “Simmer” wasn’t the only song she performed. She also gave us a cover of Lipa’s song, which finally reached the top 10 on Billboard Hot 100 this week.

Williams made this song her own and did a great job transforming it into a soulful and harrowing track with her yearning voice. The live performance of her new single “Simmer” was equally heartfelt, and it got us even more excited for her upcoming solo tour.

Williams’ first solo album Petals for Armor is scheduled to be released on May 8th by Atlantic Records, and she described the process of making it as “a scary, empowering experience.” She recently dropped the second single from this record “Leave it Alone,” and we can’t wait to hear more of her new tracks as the release date approaches.
