Jack Antonoff has been pretty busy with his work as a producer in recent months, but that didn’t stop him from recording a brand-new album with his band. Bleachers announced their fourth, self-titled studio album and dropped a new single “Alma Mater” to promote its release.

It’s been over two years since Bleachers rocked our world with their third studio album Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night, and its follow-up is finally on the horizon. The band’s fourth studio album will simply be called Bleachers, and it will hit the shelves on March 8, 2024.

The official press release by the band’s new label Dirty Hit says this album will give us Antonoff’s “distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life.” It also describes it as a sad and joyful record that features music “for driving on the highway to and for crying to and for dancing to at weddings.”

The announcement of Bleachers’ fourth studio album was preceded by the single “Modern Girl”, one of 14 tracks on their new record. The album announcement was accompanied by the release of the second single “Alma Mater” featuring Antonoff’s frequent collaborator Lana Del Rey. The band will promote the album’s release with a series of headlining tour dates in the UK next March.
