Gabe Barham has been a member of Sleeping with Sirens since the band’s formation 10 years ago, but he’s ready to say goodbye. The group released an official statement announcing his surprising departure.

Members of Sleeping with Sirens broke the news on Twitter and said they wish Barham success in all of his future endeavors because there are no hard feelings between them.

“Gabe will no longer be a part of Sleeping With Sirens. We all love him, and we’ve created amazing music together, but in the last year or so we’ve been growing in different places musically,” reads the statement by the band.

Barham’s tenure in Sleeping with Sirens ended after ten years. He joined the band in 2009 after the original drummer Alex Kaladjian quickly decided to leave the band. They recorded a total of six studio albums in the meantime, including How It Feels to Be Lost, due to be released on September 6th.
