Megan Thee Stallion dropped many hints about her next album in recent months, and she finally shared the final piece of the puzzle with the world. She announced her next LP will be titled MEGAN during a recent show in Atlanta and confirmed a June release date.

Stallion is currently headlining Hot Girl Summer Tour, and she shared some exciting news during a recent show in Atlanta. The Grammy-winning rapper revealed that her long-awaited third studio album will be self-titled, and it’s expected to hit the shelves on June 28.

This announcement doesn’t come as a shocker since she’s been teasing this record for a few months now. She gave us a taste of things to come with singles “Cobra,” “Boa”, and “Hiss”, the latter of which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her first single as a solo artist to do so.

Stallion discussed her next album in a recent interview with L’Officiel and said she used a lot of snake imagery because this record is themed around the concept of renewal and rebirth.

“Snakes represent rebirth, spirituality. I’m not really a person that’s like, ‘Oh my God, sunshine’ and just super bubbly, happy. I like darker things. I like things that are a little scary. I like things that are unique. I picked the snake because… it’s kind of like an antihero,” she explained.
