Sabrina Carpenter made quite a splash with her latest single “Espresso”, and she planned a whole new album around it. She’s gearing up for the best summer ever after announcing the release of Short n’ Sweet, which will be released this August.
Carpenter teased the release of her next album with a series of billboards featuring tweets that reference her height. It eventually turned out they were paying homage to the title of her sixth studio album Short n’ Sweet, set to be released on August 23 via Island Records.
Carpenter gave us a taste of her new album with the lead single “Espresso”, which became a global sensation since its release in April. It climbed to the top of the charts in several countries including the UK and became the singer’s highest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 4.
Carpenter previously discussed her new music in an Interview conversation with Maya Hawke and said her new album is all about embracing freedom and experimenting with different genres.
“I feel a lot freer and more excited about what I’m making now because I’ve realized that genre isn’t necessarily the most important thing. It’s about honesty and authenticity and whatever you gravitate towards,” she explained.
