Kasabian released their last studio album just last year, and they’re getting ready to head back to the studio. The British indie rock band will drop their upcoming album Happenings next summer, and they’ll celebrate its release with a huge homecoming show in Leicester.

The band’s new album Happenings still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s hitting the shelves next summer. The band is yet to share details about this record, but they told NME it was informed by their live shows and many of the songs are meant to be performed in front of a large audience.

Kasabian is planning to promote the album with a homecoming show “Summer Solstice II” in Leicester alongside Kaiser Chiefs. This concert will take place at Leicester’s Victoria Park on July 6, 2024, and frontman Serge Pizzorno is hoping it will introduce their music to a new generation of fans.

“It was about creating memories – that’s the thing you look back on. Those are the moments, those memories. This kind of thing ingrains forever. That’s why I think this one’s gonna be insane. Because of the energy of that new generation,” Pizzono told NME.

Kasabian’s last album The Alchemist’s Euphoria came out in August 2022 and became their sixth consecutive record to top the UK Albums chart.
