After nearly a decade with Capitol Records, Halsey left her old label two months ago and started looking for a new home. Her search is finally over after Columbia Records officially announced they signed the deal with the Grammy-nominated singer this month.

Halsey announced her departure from Capitol back in April, and this news was quite a shocker for her fans since he’s been with the label for an entire decade. She signed with their Astralwerks imprint in 2013 and released all four of her albums through either Astralwerks or Capitol.

Halsey addressed her exit in a Tumblr post about a month ago and thanked her fans for their patience and faith, adding it will all pay off in the long run.

“This feels like my debut all over again, in some ways. Your love and support have carried me through a time where I thought maybe I only had a few albums left in me, but I know now that there are so many more than I could have ever dreamed,” she wrote on Tumblr.

Halsey also revealed she continued writing new music even after leaving Capitol, saying she’s “working on some of my favorite stuff I’ve ever conjured.” We’re still waiting for her new material, but she recently surprised us with a new version of “Lilith” ft. Suga from the video game Diablo IV.
