During their live show in Oklahoma City on Wednesday, Guns N’ Roses decided to treat their fans with a special surprise. Midway through their hit-filled setlist, the group played lesser-known track “Dead Horse.” This was the first time in 26 years that the band performed it live.

“Dead Horse” was first released on Use Your Illusion I in 1991, before being issued to radio stations as a promo CD in 1993. The band last played it live on July 17th, 1993, in Buenos Aires.

Over the course of their Not in This Lifetime reunion tour, Guns N’ Roses have been mostly playing their greatest hits. Still, they occasionally slip in some live rarities like “Locomotive,” “Out Ta Get Me,” “Shadow of Your Love,” and now “Dead Horse.” The group also did a handful of interesting covers along the way, including Velvet Revolver’s “Slither,” Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun and Who’s “The Seeker.”

Guns N’ Roses are scheduled to play Voodoo Music Festival in New Orleans and a headlining show in Salt Lake City through October before wrapping up this leg of the tour in Las Vegas with pair of shows at Colosseum on November 1st and November 2nd.
