Robbie Williams has expressed interest in headlining Glastonbury 2020 but he has no interest in taking on the prestigious “legends slot.”

Glastonbury is arguably the UK’s most acclaimed festival. It is essentially Europe’s Coachella and has seen some of music’s biggest stars take on the mainstage. Last year, the festival saw special performances from the likes of The Killers, Stormzy, Miley Cyrus, The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, and The Cure. Kylie Minogue filled 2019’s “Legend Slot” which is reserved for the most iconic stars in music.

Take That star Robbie Williams has now revealed that he would consider headlining but he would not be interested in joining Minogue in the list of stars to fill the prestigious “legends” spot.

“When I was at Glastonbury it felt as though the rest of the festival was like, ‘What the f**k are you doing here?” Williams told The Sun, referring to his 1998 appearance.

“I’d like to headline and that’s what I’d like to do, if I did anything,” he continued. “As far as I know, nothing is in the air for that. But they know where I am if they need me. I don’t want to do the legends slot, though.”

So far, Wolf Alice and Dianna Ross are the only artists to be confirmed for Glastonbury 2020. More names will follow.
