Kasabian just sold out 50,000 tickets in exactly 44 minutes.

The “Solstice II” show is due to take place in 2020 at Victoria Park in the UK. 50,000 tickets went on sale at 9 am for the homecoming gig. By 9:44 am, they had already sold out. The success was announced via Kasabian’s official Twitter account.

Sam Fender, Easy Life, and Inhaler are scheduled to support Kasabian for their Leicester show. The band is promising that the show will be something special.

“To everyone who got a ticket, we’ll bring you the biggest party of 2020,” Kasabian tweeted. “To anyone who didn’t, things are cooking in the sergery and we’ll get to see all of you soon.”

In addition to tickets for the show selling out, hotels across Leicester got booked up immediately following the announcement too.

A manager at the ibis Leicester City hotel in St George’s Way told LeicestershireLive: “We are fully booked at this stage. The moment the announcement went live on Monday we saw a huge movement, then by Tuesday it went completely viral. I believe all the hotels except for the Marriott and the Hilton are full now.”

The Solstice II show will take place on 20 June 2020.
