After a four-year long break, Grace Potter is ready to return to our lives, and judging by what we know so far – her upcoming studio album Daylight will be her most personal yet.

The leader of the folk-rock band Grace Potter and the Nocturnals showed us what we can expect once her album officially hits the shelves with vulnerable new single “Love Is Love”, which perfectly set the tone for the rest of this record.

In an official statement announcing her new album, Potter explained she wrote each of the songs from a universal perspective while trying to process and be accountable for her own life experience.

“I had just pulled the ripcord on my whole life. It was an incredibly jarring, private experience. When the dust settled a bit, the last thing I wanted to do was tell the whole world about it through song. It was a very gradual process of re-framing music and its purpose in my life,” explained the singer.

Daylight is scheduled to be released on October 25th and Potter will be busy performing around the US in the meantime.
