Rag’n’Bone Man wrote this song four years ago, after realizing his parents are not as strong as they seem. He felt it’s finally his time to look after them and convince them he’s a giant. He really wanted to share this heartfelt tune with the world, but the timing was never right – until Calvin Harris came into the picture.
“He properly breathed a new life into a song I hold very dearly. It’s mad how it took this shape and I’m happy for people to finally hear it!” wrote Rag’n’Bone Man after sharing the video with his fans of Instagram.
“Giant” tells the story of a young man who feels like he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders while his mother struggles with a serious illness. It’s Rag’n’Bone Man’s first single as a lead artist in almost two years.
