Bring Me the Horizon recently surprised their fans by dropping a thrilling new song, “Ludensa” and it’s only the first in a series of tracks they have in store. The band is thinking of dropping multiple records next year, but it seems we won’t be getting a traditional album any time soon.

Frontman Oli Sykes recently discussed the band’s new track with NME and admitted they only had five days to write it. Despite enormous pressure, this process was really fun because it allowed them to experiment without worrying too much about the final product.

Sykes also said this song will be featured on their next record, but it probably won’t be an album, since they’re thinking of abandoning this concept which forces artists to ration their creativity. “Ludens will be the first song you hear from the new record. We’re not going to do an album again, maybe ever. We’re thinking about doing shorter records. I don’t want to say we’re going to do something and not live up to it, but the plan is to release multiple records next year,” explained Sykes.
