Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar’s collaborator, Baby Keem, made his debut on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart at No. 44 with his single “Orange Soda.”

The rapper/producer made his first appearance on Billboard charts at No. 50 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Baby Keem, who’s real name is Hykeem Carter, is only 18-year-old and he co-wrote Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar’s “Nile,” which was part of The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack. “Nile” reached No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums back in August.

He also co-wrote and co-produced Zacari’s “Redemption Interlude” from the Black Panther soundtrack. Other credits the young rapper has to his name include writing for ScHoolboy Q’s Crash Talk album and Jay Rock’s Redemption.

On the top of the Emerging Artists chart is NLE Choppa with “Camelot” and it’s been the No. 1 song for 12 weeks.
