Yungblud is no stranger to amazing collaborations, and his latest might just be the most epic one yet. The English rock singer joined forces with Bring Me the Horizon’s frontman Oli Sykes for the new single “Happier”, which marks their second collaboration together.

Yungblud previously collaborated with Bring Me the Horizon on their 2020 single “Obey”, featured on Post Human: Survival Horror. It was immediately clear they were a match made in heaven after Yungblud noticed many similarities between Sykes’ musical style and upbringing to his own.

In a press release explaining the meaning behind his new song, Yungblud explained that the feeling of happiness is scary because you feel like it’s all about to go wrong. He conditioned himself to be in pain because it was safer, but he finally reached the point where he realized everyone deserves happiness, including himself.

“I was craving another Yungblud song that would burn in my stomach, make me feel like it’s all gonna be ok, and encourage me to fight back against old habits and try my best to re-align myself to be better. It’s ok to find happiness, it’s ok to feel it. I hope you find a little bit of it in this song,” he wrote in a press release.
