If you were not around to experience the craze of the legendary Woodstock music festival in 1969, you might have an opportunity to experience a bit of its charm next year.

According to the Associated Press, a 3-day music festival for Woodstock’s 50th anniversary is in the works and is set to take place in August 2019 at the original site.

The Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, which is a concert venue that was built on the site of the original Woodstock, announced recently that celebratory festival is scheduled to go down from August 16th to August 18th and it will feature “prominent and emerging artists spanning multiple genres and decades.”

According to The Bethel Woods’ press release, the performers and the speakers at the event will be announced soon.

The original Woodstock took place from August 15th to August 17th at a dairy farm in the Catskill Mountains near New York City. It is considered one of the most significant events in the modern music, attracting more than 400,000 festivalgoers. The event featured performances from now-legendary music acts like Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, The Band, and many others.
