Taron Egerton proved that he can really sing with a cover of Elton John’s iconic “Tiny Dancer.”
The performance was allegedly unplanned. Sir Elton John annually hosts a musician’s annual Oscars party to benefit his AIDS Foundation. Last night at the party, John invited Taron Egerton up on stage to sing his big hit “Tiny Dancer.”
The Kingsman actor is playing Elton in the upcoming biopic, Rocketman. The star has had to train excessively to get his vocals up to standard. In the impromptu performance, he proves that his vocals are more than up to scratch.
Elton played the piano while Taron sung. When the chorus came around, Elton surprised everyone by joining in with some lush harmonies. When Egerton introduced the performance, he simply said: It’s funny how life turns out it isn’t it.”
