BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook had their debut appearance on MTV Unplugged.

The performance was filmed in South Korea and in addition to the several songs from their November 2020 album Be (Deluxe Edition), the band did a surprise cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You”.

Before the performance of Coldplay’s song, Jimin shared that the song gave them “comfort” during difficult times and they “wanted to prepare this cover to comfort [their fans] as well.”

The K-Pop band was seated on stools and the song showcased their strong harmonies and the group’s trio of rappers gave bass notes to back the singers. The performance was stripped back and angelic with a highlight being  RM, Jin, and Jimin effortlessly pulling off a three-part harmony.

In addition to “Fix You”, the 30-minute, five-song performance included “Dynamite”, “Blue & Grey”, “Telepathy”, and “Live Goes On”.

Other highlights of the performance were the band sharing the inspiration behind “Telepathy”, the emotions behind “Blue & Grey”, the impressive five sets and five wardrobe changes, and the band’s inspiring goodbye message..
