K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK recently made an appearance on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke, and it was just as awesome as you might expect. Members Jisoo, Rosé, Lisa, and Jennie shared some interesting stories about the group, sang some of their biggest hits, and even got around to covering iconic girl groups TLC and Spice Girls.

Jisoo seemed a bit worried about Corden’s driving abilities when the drive started, but the host convinced her she had nothing to worry about. They then kicked things off with the group’s hit “Pink Venom” before briefly discussing the history of BLACKPINK.

When the topic of musical influences came up, BLACKPINK members mentioned their love for TLC and used the opportunity to sing 1999’s hit “No Scrubs”. They would go on to wrap up the episode with a cover of “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls.

“We really like how they have their own individual characters, and that was something we were aiming for, and it was such an iconic girl group that we grew up listening to,” said Jennie about Spice Girls.

BLACKPINK is fresh from performing a massive show at Coachella 2023, becoming the first South Korean group to headline the festival. The group will return to the US in August for shows in New Jersey, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
