This year’s Coachella lineup is as epic as it gets, and just when we thought things couldn’t possibly get any better – they did! Vampire Weekend will celebrate the release of their new album by heading to the desert and performing at the Empire Polo Club this weekend.
Vampire Weekend have previously appeared at Coachella in 2008, 2010, and 2013, and they’re getting ready to return to their old stamping grounds. They have been added to the Coachella lineup at the very last minute, and are now set to deliver a 45-minute performance on the Outdoor Theatre stage on April 13.
Vampire Weekend are heading to Coachella to promote the recent release of their new album Only God Was Above Us, which hit the shelves on April 5. They promoted its release with singles “Capricorn”, “Gen-X Cops”, “Classical”, and “Mary Boone”.
Vampire Weekend will be in pretty good company at this year’s Coachella. Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat are headlining the festival, while the lineup also includes No Doubt, Blur, Ice Spice, J Balvin, Peso Pluma, Deftones, Victoria Monét, and Bleachers, among others.
Coachella will return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California on two weekends between April 12-14 and April 19-21.
