Usher’s new album is on the way, and it seems it will feature collaborations with some of our favorite R&B stars. One of them is Ella Mai, who joined forces with the singer in the new music video for the song “Don’t Waste My Time”.
The lively video, directed by Lesean Harris, sees the duo partying at a lavish mansion, but they’re not the only ones there. The video is filled with cameos from surprise celebrity guests, such as Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, and Christian Combs.
“Don’t Waste My Time” originally came out in December, and Usher told Billboard that Ella Mai felt like a perfect person to bring on board because he appreciates her music very much.
“I genuinely am a fan of her voice, and also felt like the song was perfect for both of us. The more I listened to ‘Don’t Waste My Time’, I felt like it was missing a female’s perspective. So we flipped it up, changed the second verse to a female’s story, and I felt like she was great for it,” the singer explained.
