When Twenty One Pilots announced their new album Clancy, they also shared their plan to film a music video for every song. This creative process is taking longer than expected, and it forced the musical duo to push the release of their new album by a week.

Twenty One Pilots announced the release of Clancy in late February, and it was initially supposed to hit the shelves on May 17. They also dropped the music video for the lead single “Overcompensate” and shared a 13-song tracklist, revealing they’re planning to film a music video for every single one.

This creative undertaking has proven to be quite challenging, and Tyler Joseph announced they’re delaying the release of Clancy to give themselves enough time to finish all the videos.

“When I first told Josh and Mark and everyone on our team that I wanted to do a music video for every song on the album ‘Clancy’ that’s coming out, I told them it’s because I love these songs and I believe in them enough to pretend to sing in front of a camera for each one,” said Joseph in a video he shared on the social media platform X.

The release of Clancy is now set for May 24, and its third single “Backslide” is hitting the shelves tomorrow.
