Former Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge kept himself busy in the past couple of years by studying UFOs, but it seems now that he is finally ready to get back to music. DeLonge recently revived his band Angels and Airwaves and presented a new song “Rebel Girl,” the group’s first new music since 2016. The band will also embark on their first tour in seven years in the fall.

“‘Rebel Girl’ is a space-age love song that combines my enduring obsession for New Wave, pop punk and anthemic rock and roll music,” said DeLonge in a statement. “As some of you might’ve heard, I recently took a brief minute to start up an aerospace company,  so you never know — I may play this song from a satellite deep in space, beamed toward everyone’s house viciously on repeat.”

You can hear the song below.

The band’s last studio album The Dream Walker came in 2014 after which they also presented EP Chasing Shadows.

Angels and Airwaves will kick off their tour on September 4th in Phoenix and are set to play shows in Dallas, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles among other cities before wrapping up the trip in San Diego on October 5th.
