The Streets’ frontman Mark Skinner has revealed that the band is working on two new albums.

It has been eight years since we received a studio from the band. 2011’s Computers and Blues received mixed reviews and was declared as the final album from the London band.

Now, Mark Skinner has confirmed that the band is back together working on a “duets album”. Better still, the project is anticipated to arrive by the end of summer.

In 2020, the band will release a second album which will be the soundtrack to Skinner’s upcoming film.

“One of the reasons that I started [making music] again is because I’ve written a film, which is about a DJ,” Skinner told the Daily Star. “And the album that I’ve written is kind of a musical; it’s part of the film.”

He added: “While that’s happening, I’m doing a mixtape, which is a collaborations album – and that will be out hopefully at the end of the summer.”

More details to be shared when they are announced.
