The National’s frontman Matt Berninger continues to have a busy year. After releasing a new album with his band earlier this year, Berninger now announced that his debut solo album is also coming soon.

Towards the end of the last week, Berninger went on Instagram, where he confirmed that he would be releasing a solo record produced by American multi-instrumentalist Booker T. Jones. The album will be called Serpentine Prison.

“More about it soon, but basically I’m the luckiest man in the universe with lots of brilliant friends who can play instruments,” Berninger wrote on social media. “Not worthy!”

As of now, there hasn’t been any follow-up information about the album, including the release date. But, considering that the project is wrapped up, we should expect more details soon.

This news comes after Berninger presented his solo single “Walking on a String.” The track, which features American indie-rock musician Phoebe Bridgers, was part of the soundtrack for the movie Between Two Ferns: The Movie. In case you missed it, check out the song below.
