Fans of metal were looking forward to seeing their favorite acts in one place at the Roxodus Music Festival this summer, but their dream won’t come true. The organizers of the highly-anticipated event announced its cancellation due to concerns with the venue.

Roxodus Music Festival was scheduled to take place between July 11th and July 14th near the Edenvale Airport in Ontario, Canada. Aerosmith, Kid Rock, Nickelback, and Lynyrd Skynyrd were amongst the acts scheduled to perform at the event.

The organizers of the festival released a statement explaining they were not able to secure the venue at Edenvale Airport due to the “tremendous rainy weather” and added they’ll take time to “nurture it into a premier landmark in Ontario.”

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the cancellation of the Roxodus Music Festival this year. Our team has worked tirelessly to find a solution in which the show can go on but unfortunately, we could not make it happen this year,” reads the official statement.
