Believe it or not, The Black Keys are finally back with some new music!

The American rock duo consisted of guitarist/vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney, recently presented song “Lo/Hi,” which represents the band’s first new music in five years.

The song is both written and produced by Auerbach and Carney, who recorded the track at Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville, Tennessee according to The Rolling Stone. You can hear it below.

The Black Keys most recent album release came in 2014 when they presented their eighth studio album Turn Blue. The record was a success at the charts, topping US Billboard 200, and was received well by the critics. After the follow-up tour, the band decided to go on an indefinite hiatus in 2015.

While Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney neglected The Black Keys a bit in the past few years, that doesn’t mean they weren’t busy with side projects. Auerbach formed a garage rock band The Arcs in 2015 and released his second solo album Waiting on a Song in 2017. Carney, on the other hand, was involved in several music projects as a drummer and producer including albums by Michelle Branch, Tobias Jesso, Jr. and Karen Elson.
