Taylor Swift will be returning to The Voice as a “Mega Mentor” in Season 17.

Swift will be joining the current lineup of coaches which includes Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend. The “Shake It Off” singer previously appeared in the Mega position back in 2014. John Legend and Blake Shelton announced the news that Swift will be reprising her role in a short promotional video.

“I think the person’s one of the most successful people in music,” Legend says. Shelton quips: “Yeah, but I can’t be because I’m a coach.”

Swift then walks out of a trailer and the judges realize who this year’s “Mega Mentor” will be. You can watch the promotional clip here:

Shelton also explained in a statement to People why Swift is the perfect star for the role. In the statement, he references her earlier appearance on the show.

“The first season that she came on, she instantly knew what to say, knew what her job was and was great at it,” he said. “This season, she brings even more experience to the table. It’s no accident that she’s the biggest star in the world. She’s not only talented, but she’s really smart. So it’s fun to work with.”

Season 17 of The Voice premieres September 23.
