Tame Impala finally broke silence on their highly-anticipated fourth studio album. The group recently confirmed that the record, titled The Slow Rush, is scheduled for release on February 14, 2020.

Besides announcing the title of the album, which will serve as a follow up to 2015’s Currents, Tame Impala’s Instagram account shared the cover for their new studio effort.

The group also posted a short teaser for the album on YouTube and a new track, titled “It Might Be Time.” The track will be part of the the new album.

Kevin Parker, who is the founder and main creative force behind the psychedelic rock project that is Tame Impala, has been working on this new album for quite a while. Back in 2018, he shared that he hopes he will finish and release the record by the summer of 2019. Although this didn’t happen, the group released two singles, “Patience” and “Borderline.” It remains unclear whether these two songs will be part of The Slow Rush.

The reason why Tame Impala took a bit longer to finish the new album is the group’s busy touring schedule. The band has spent most of the summer touring Europe and North America, where they headlined several prominent festivals including Coachella.
