Stevie Wonder decided to share some important news with his fans during a show at London’s BST Festival over the weekend. The soul legend revealed that he would soon take a break from live performances due to health issues. According to Wonder, he is required to undergo a kidney transplant procedure.

“I’m all good, I’m all good, all good, I have a donor and it’s all good,” – added Wonder. “I want you to know, I came here to give you my love and thank you for your love. You ain’t got to hear no rumors. I told you what’s up. I am good. I love you and God bless you.”

Before undergoing the procedure, however, Wonder will play three more shows. He is scheduled to perform at Dublin’s 3Arena on July 9th, before heading back to the United States where he will play shows in Charlotte on July 11th and North Myrtle Beach on July 12th.

There were rumors that Stevie Wonder might release a new album this year, but with this planned procedure, that is unlikely to happen. Wonder announced he was recording two new records back in 2013, but the albums never got released. His latest studio effort was 2005’s A Time to Love.
