RM will become the latest BTS member to release a solo album. The news was officially confirmed by BTS’ agency Big Hit Music.

JTBC News recently released a report that RM is working on an album and will present his solo release in late November. Big Hit Music issued a statement shortly after, confirming the rumors and saying that “RM will drop a solo album and is currently in preparation.” However, the agency remained mum on the release date for the record.

BTS are currently on indefinite hiatus, with band members announcing back in the summer that they want to focus on solo works. Since then, J-hope released his solo album Jack in the Box while Jin presented The Astronaut.

RM’s upcoming album will be his first as a solo artist. So far, the 28-year-old singer has released two mixtapes, RM and Mono, while releasing a handful of singles and making a number of appearances as a featured artist. He most recently made a guest appearance on Balming Tiger’s hit track “S-xy Nukim.”

Besides working on a new solo album, RM is also venturing into hosting and will serve as a presenter on tvN’s educational series The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge. The show is set to arrive on air by the end of the year.
