Marshmello and Bastille smash hit “Happier” is one of the best collaborations of the last year, but Snoop Dogg and Layke somehow come up with a way to make it even more upbeat. Their cover of this song is a funky version of the original, and they recorded it for a good cause.

Indie star Layke said Snoop was immediately on board, after learning all the proceeds will go to charities supporting children in need.

“Snoop was amazing and immediately into the idea because he himself gives so much back to the community and it just kind of evolved into something bigger and it’s become something really exciting and I think we can do some real good with it!” explained Layke.

They could’ve gone with pretty much any song, but felt this Marshmello and Bastille colab is the perfect choice. Despite the somber tone of the original, they managed to put a spin on it and make it more upbeat and hopeful.

“I felt like ‘Happier’ was the perfect song because it’s all over the world right now, everybody loves it, and I think there’s a lot of different things you can take away from that song and its meaning,” explained Layke.
