Sleigh Bells’ acclaimed debut record Treats is turning 10 soon, so the noise duo decided to stage a celebration party to commemorate the occasion. The group recently announced a one-off show during which they will play the album in full.

According to an announcement on social media, the gig will take place on May 19th in New York at the iconic Brooklyn Steel. Sleigh Bells will be joined by Canadian electro duo Black Dresses, who will serve as an opening act.

Following a number of successful demo releases accompanied by a self-titled EP, Sleigh Bells entered the studio in early 2010 and started the work on their debut album. Treats hit the shelves the same year, on May 24th, and was an instant classic. While doing solid on the charts, it was a big hit with the critics, who described it as “a supremely raw and visceral pop masterwork.”

Sleigh Bells released three more albums after that, although neither managed to achieve the same success. Their most recent studio efforts are 2016’s LP Jessica Rabbit and 2017’s EP Kid Kruschev.
