Sia just set an important milestone with her YouTube videos and managed to become the unofficial queen of the Billion Views Club. She’s currently the female artist with the most videos on this website to cross a one-billion mark.
Sia set the record after the visual for her hit single “Elastic Heart” officially surpassed one billion views on YouTube this week. It was just a matter of time before this moment came, because this song was destined for greatness from the get to.
“Elastic Heart” first caught everyone eye after it was released as one of the singles on the soundtrack for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. It later got everyone talking thanks to polarizing music video starring Sia’s muse Maddie Ziegler and actor Shia LaBeouf, which quickly became the eighth most viewed music video of 2015.
“Elastic Heart” helped Sia cross the finish line, but it isn’t her only video in Billion Views Club. “Chandelier”, “Cheap Thrills” ft. Sean Paul, “Titanium” ft. David Guetta and “Dusk Till Dawn” ft. Zayn also crossed the coveted number. Same goes for “Diamonds” by Rihanna, which was written by Sia.
