The list of the top artists and songs has been released as a part of the platforms’ “Year on TikTok 2023” celebration. TikTok’s head of operations Adam Presser called it “a way for us to honor some of the standout moments that have happened on TikTok throughout the year.”
Music has been always an essential part of TikTok videos, and the sped-up version of Justine Skye’s “Collide” emerged as the top song on this platform in 2023. It’s followed by FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid – Twin Ver – Sped Up Version”, PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Her Way (Sped Up)”, Toosii’s “Favorite Song – Sped Up”, and “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2” by PinkPantheress and Ice Spice.
When it comes to the top artist on TikTok this year, Selena Gomez topped the list for the United States. Rising star Natalie Jane and the Grammy-nominated rapper Ice Space were right behind, along with pop singers Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande.
