Not many bands can say they stayed together for long enough to release 20 studio albums, but Scorpions are getting closer to this coveted numbers. The legendary German rock band will soon start working on their next record – group’s nineteenth studio album to date!

Singer Klaus Meine shared the exciting news in a recent interview with Scorpions Brazil and revealed that they hit the studio after taking a break from touring earlier this year.

“We had such a good time, and there were plenty of ideas. It was a really good vibe to work without big pressure or anything – just come back together, write a couple of songs, enjoy some time in the studio, and it really turned out really good and in a very positive way,” said Meine.

Scorpions will go back to touring in June, but there’s a chance they’ll be able to drop their next album in 2020 if everything goes smoothly. Their latest LP Return to Forever came out in 2015, and it was met with positive reviews.
