iHeartRadio is giving out the Titanium Award to artists who surpassed billion audience spins with their hit songs, and the list is pretty long. Some of our favorite acts to reach this threshold are Post Malone, Cardi B, Camilla Cabello
The iHeartRadio bosses intend to bestow the award throughout the year to other artists who happen to surpass the one billion mark. Here’s how they came up with this complex calculation:
“The total audience spins calculation is based on certified Mediabase airplay and is multiplied by the number of persons listening to the radio at the time of those plays, delivering total audience impressions which is the broadcast equivalent of the number of streams from a streaming music service.”
