2019 is a pretty busy year for PJ Harvey – in addition to working on her new album All About Eve, the British artist also composed music for mini-series The Virtues.

Now, she shared six new songs from show’s soundtrack and dropped a video for the track “‘The Crowded Cell”.

This soundtrack saw PJ Harvey collaborating with visionary filmmaker Shane Meadows, who created the series and directed the music video for the song “‘The Crowded Cell”.

“Shane has a unique directness and sensibility to his work which I am drawn to and aspire to in my own work, so our collaboration was open and trusting. I sent Shane ideas as demos for him to try out as he edited and let him choose what he used and where to greatest effect,” said the singer in a press release.

The reflective video for “The Crowded Cell” is pretty simple, but the fans of the show will appreciate it very much. It features authentic footage from the closing credits of The Virtues, showing the younger version of the main character running away from a care home.
