Former Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell recently announced that he will release Kind Heaven, his first solo album in 18 years. Farrell, who is also known for being the creator of the popular music festival Lollapalooza, now decided to present the new band that will back him up on the album.

Named Kind Heaven Orchestra, the band will consist of former Pearl Jam and Soundgarden drummer Matt Chamberlain and guitarist Nick Maybury alongside Jane’s Addiction’s bassist Chris Chaney and keyboardist Matt Rohde. Perry Farrell’s wife Etty Lau Farrell will also be part of the band, providing vocals.

While Farrell is still to reveal the exact date when Kind Heaven will be out, the 59-year-old rocker did introduce musicians who will be guests on the record. The album will feature contributions by the Cars’ guitarist Elliot Easton, Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins, Dhani Harrison, and Mötley Crüe’s drummer Tommy Lee.

Perry Farrell will debut Kind Heaven Orchestra on November 30th at a live gig in Los Angeles, which will be part of Bill Graham Festival of Lights. If you don’t make it to Los Angeles in time, you may catch the band in San Francisco on December 2nd as well.

Farrell’s most recent studio effort was Jane’s Addiction’s fourth studio album from 2011, The Great Escape Artist. His last solo outing came in 2001 when he released album Song Yet to Be Sung.
