Olivia Rodrigo is new on the music scene, but that hasn’t stopped her debut single “Drivers License” from topping streaming charts.

Over the weekend, the song hit No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. chart, Apple Music’s overall track chart, iTunes chart, and Amazon Music’s overall top songs chart. The accompanying music video has already reached over 18 million views within its first week of being released.

In the song, the 17-year-old Rodrigo opens up about heartbreak after she got her driver’s license and can now drive to her ex’s house.

“I’m so excited that ‘Drivers License’ is out in the universe,” Rodrigo told Variety. “I feel so grateful for everyone who has supported me throughout this insane journey. I truly feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to share more of my music this year!”

Rodrigo stars in High School Musical: The Series where we got to see her vocal talent and songwriting ability. Her song from the series, “All I Want”, briefly appeared on the Hot 100 chart in January 2020.

The singer just signed with Geffen Records and she will be releasing her first EP later this year, which she wrote during quarantine. Rodrigo is definitely one to watch this year!
