Noel Gallagher and his High Flying Birds are back with some new music. The former Oasis frontman recently shared a new track “Black Star Dancing” which serves as a leading single for his new EP of the same name. The extended play will be released on June 14th as a digital version followed by 12″ vinyl.

Black Star Dancing EP will see Gallagher and his backing band drawing influence from an array of other artists including David Bowie and ZZ Top.

“It manages to combine the influences of David Bowie, INXS, U2, Queen, Indeep AND ZZ Top FFS!,” said Gallagher according to NME. “I might have been watching too much Top Of The Pops recently … anyway, it’s ‘dope’ … not my words, but the words of Nile Rodgers who literally danced in the studio when he heard it!”

After the release of the EP, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will play several headlining shows and festivals in Europe, before embarking on a tour across North America in August with The Smashing Pumpkins.

Black Star Dancing will be Noel Gallagher’s first new release since he presented Who Built the Moon? in 2017. The album received critical acclaim while topping the UK Charts and reaching No.1 in several other countries.
