It’s been five years since Nicki Minaj graced us with a new studio album, but she’s finally ready for a comeback! The hip-hop superstar announced the October release date for her highly-anticipated fifth studio album, but she’s yet to share its title with the world.

Minaj shared the happy news by simply tweeting “10/20/23 The Album”, followed by a CD and ribbon emoji. We now know that her next LP will hit the shelves on October 20, but its title remains a mystery, even though Minaj previously revealed that she has a title in mind.

Minaj’s fifth-studio album was a long time coming, and it’s been five years since her last studio effort Queen hit the shelves in 2018. Expectations are running high, especially after Minaj told i-D Magazine that she’s in a really great place right now, adding she always delivers the best music when she’s happy.

Even though it’s been five years since her last studio album saw the light of day, Minaj dropped a lot of new music in the meantime. Just last year, her greatest hits album Queen Radio: Volume produced her first solo no. 1 single “Super Freaky Girl”, and she continued teasing her fifth studio album with her first solo song of 2023, “Red Ruby da Sleeze”. She also collaborated with Ice Spice, Kim Petras, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again in the past few months.
