After a three-year long break, Evanescence is getting ready to bring us to life with their fifth studio album.

Amy Lee recently revealed they’re gearing up to go back to the studio and release new record in 2020.

The band’s leader discussed their future plans in a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Grant Random.

“This is sort of a creation year for us. We’re playing a few festivals and some headlining shows – a little bit, but not too heavy. And in the time in between, getting together and starting the writing process for a new album,” revealed Lee.

The last Evanescence album, Synthesis, came out in 2017, and the band embarked on international tour shortly after its release.

In addition to several new songs, this record mostly consisted of new versions of band’s old tracks, inspired by electronic elements, and featured such hits as “Bring Me to Life,” “My Immortal” and “Lacrymosa.”
