Ciara is no stranger to getting personal in her music videos, but she took things to a whole new level with “Beauty Marks.”
This emotional visual features real footage from her wedding and the birth of her daughter.
The video opens by showing Ciara tying the knot with her husband Russell Wilson, and wraps up with footage filmed inside the labor room, moments before she welcomed her daughter Sienna Princess Wilson to this world.
The moving music video for “Beauty Marks” was released on May 10, when her seventh studio album of the same name hit the shelves.
This is one of her most personal albums to date, and Ciara felt it’s only fitting to share some of her most precious moments with her fans as well.
“Sharing some of the most vulnerable & special moments of my life with you. This album, song, and video symbolizes how we can turn our scars into beauty marks & there’s no greater feeling than turning your tears of sorrow into tears of joy,” wrote Ciara on Twitter.
